Welcome to master-piece coffee KYOTO, a charming café nestled in the heart of Kyoto's Nakagyo Ward. This unique spot seamlessly melds a cozy atmosphere with the rich tradition of Japanese café culture, providing an inviting retreat for coffee lovers and weary shoppers alike.

As you step inside, the experience transforms. You’re guided to your seat, where removing your shoes is not just a request but a gateway to a distinctly Japanese form of hospitality. The décor strikes a fine balance between modern aesthetics and traditional elements, with tranquil views of a beautifully maintained garden that lend a serene backdrop to your coffee experience.

Though renowned for its expertly brewed coffee, master-piece coffee KYOTO is more than just a caffeine fix. Customers rave about the nutty and smooth espresso, which has earned its place as a standout drink on their menu. Although some popular items might sell out, such as their sandwiches and iced coffees, the warm chocolate cake never fails to deliver a delightful indulgence. Paired with an apple tea soda that balances sweetness with refreshing zest, your taste buds are in for a treat!

However, your experience may be altered slightly depending on your preference for ambiance. While many find the overall aesthetic charming and calming, one customer did mention that the upbeat rock music might detract from the café's otherwise tranquil vibes. It appears the management is aiming for a lively atmosphere, potentially encouraging customers to keep moving. Still, for those seeking a peaceful pause during a bustling day of exploration, this spot is worth a stop.

According to fellow café enthusiasts, this hidden gem is tucked away behind a store specializing in backpacks and apparel, making it a perfect pitstop for weary shoppers looking to recharge with light bites and coffee. Whether you choose to enjoy a matcha latte slightly on the sweeter side or opt for the espresso with ice cream for a decadent treat, you’ll leave with a satisfied smile.

If you're in Kyoto and looking for a unique café experience that reflects the spirit of this historic city, you won’t want to miss master-piece coffee KYOTO. Embrace the moment, relax in the cozy surroundings, and savor the exceptional flavors offered in this delightful establishment.

Everything is perfect except for BLOODY LOUD ROCK music???? I don’t understand how that goes with the vibes. I feel like it’s a strategy to keep customers from staying too long. We lingered with AirPods on

a nice quiet coffee spot where they serve not just coffee but also food. light eats so you can take a break from all the shopping and walking. this little coffee shop is tucked in behind a store that sells backpacks and apparel. When you enter the shop, you are asked to take off your shoes and the staff will walk you to your table. it is set up to look like a traditional yet modern look with the tatami floor and a picturesque view of their japanese garden - very zen feel. There is a 2 hour limit of hanging out in the area which is plenty of time to get a good rest for your legs and recharge to go back out again. we ordered an egg sando which was absolutely aesthetic but also very tasty -- just look at the yolks! perfect! for coffee we ordered a chestnut latte which was pretty good. smooth coffee and you can taste a little bit of chestnut from the cream. the purple sprinkle one (shown in picture) is a sweet yam latte -- this was different. such strong yam flavor in the coffee it was a delight. i enjoyed every sip of this latte.

Nice coffee spot with view of a beautiful little garden. It’s on a street with chic boutiques.

It's located inside a leather goods store. You have to take off your shoes and put it in a locker. The seating is on the floor, so if you have trouble getting up, it's not recommended to come here. We arrived an hour before closing - none of the iced coffees were available. The marble cake was just ok; the espresso with ice cream was generously portioned. The matcha latte is a little sweet. The view of the garden is pretty, but unfortunately our table was in one of the walled areas in the corner. There were a couple of people on laptops at the time.

Espresso is nutty, sweet and extremely smooth 100% recommend. Sandwiches were sold out but the warm chocolate cake was equally delicious. Apple tea soda was on point, not too sweet.

Master-piece famous for its quality bags. Amazed by this master-piece coffee at Kyoto shop. Enjoyed my brunch with Japanese Garden view in a Friday afternoon, when it is not crowded.

Stunning little cafe at back of shop. Beautiful peaceful Japanese garden. Tranquil oasis. Coffee was up to Australian standard. Slightly nutty bean subtle and honeyed notes.
